What Is Upcycling?
Upcycling is a process where waste materials, by-products

recycling is made up of converting the waste back into the raw materials from
which the original product was manufactured. This is also known as ’creative
reuse’.

into another useful object are far lower with upcycling as less transport and
fewer laborious processes are involved. The complicated manufacturing in the

lots of energy, as do even more transportation of different materials to factories,
and then retailers. As most of the energy that we currently produce is from
polluting fossil fuels that often need to be mined in environmentally
destructive practices, there are significant impacts felt by the planet even
with conventional recycling.
